I didn't think a marine radio or speakers would be as critical for a cart that was garaged all the time. And with the components mounted under the roof, I'm not sure how they could get wet other than washing the cart? Maybe I'm wrong?

nice to see another new cart owner here, and yes, outdoor stuff, boats, motorcycle, carts an all prolly better off with a marine style built in if you go that way, not just for water, but dirt, moisture, sun and mother nature in general...

Just read Polk audio website and it states the db651 are marine rated. I've always been a Polk audio fan. I think I will stick with those.

Is everyone putting marine covers on their receivers?

I have the same cart and find it as noisy as the non EFI models. Would love to find an additional muffler to quiet it down.

I thought the noise level was in line with other carts I've driven. It's not super quiet but not loud either. I thought as much if the noise I hear is engine noise rather than exhaust. They will never be as quiet as electric.
