Default Installing rear HD leaf springs

I did not read these posts before attempting to install my new HD (4) leaf springs. I removed the U bolts from both sides and now the axle has rolled and the engine pan is out of alignment.
Any suggestions ?
Also do I need extended rear shackles ?

your rear shackles should be fine. the engine pan will allign when you get th leaf springs installed again. you might have to put a jack under the front of the pan to get it back to where the perch is semi level with the new spring.

Thanks, I ended up removing 1 of the leafs to give more wiggle room and used a maasive crow bar between the engine and transaxle to un-roll the axle.

I've read that with a new 3 leaf HD springs there is no need for rear shocks, anyone agree ?

Your original shocks will be fine, I would not delete them they serve a purpose in the suspension.
