Work begins.. While finding & waiting on motor parts just to get it running decided to fabricate everything for winch, bumper & truck bed. Also got some nice ramps off Amazon and Hulk does not even know when it is in shuttle bay lol (bed of truck- see newbie thread) Here is some pics..

Default Re: Unicons G1 chop shop rebuild

Progress has been very slow lately on buggie due to extreme heat here.. Well over 110 last couple weeks Also still waiting on some parts to get the initial start up & test drive before a more complete assessment of what i would all like to do. Meanwhile, Con't to work on shuttle (Truck) and started going thru and restoring/painting individual parts & elec. system. Scooped up a roll frame from a Rhino from a craigslist sale. Its in nice shape but will definitely need to get cut up & fitted.. Will take pics.. Also customized an switch panel so can start wiring for that.. New Carb came in, it is an identical unit & settings are all the same. When comparing tho to old, clearly old unit was not functioning properly as butterflies were sticking etc, so hoping thats were start up problem was.. Disconnected oil pump & capped off. Will plate it off when pull motor down the road. Appears most of the major oil leak was coming from the pump and not the other seals, waiting to see if she'll turn over from fuel system rebuild before replacing other seals.
