Stuck at Full Throttle
My 1994 Club Car DS is stuck at full throttle no matter how much I push on the accelerator. I checked the box that pulls the cable that goes to the rear of the cart but I dont know how the rest of it works. The throttle cable going to the carb doesnt move when I push the gas. It starts fine and everything it just goes from idle to full throttle.

Remove the governor cable from the throttle lever on the carb and make sure the cable moves freely in the sheath. If the cable is sticky or does not move VERY easily replace it.
The throttle lever on the carb should have a return spring that goes under the metal bracket. If the return spring is broken or damaged or missing the throttle will not close. Check for the return spring, if its damaged or missing it needs to be replaced. |
