Update:

The 16hp Vanguard was fine for a little bit, but recently the engine felt like it lost a step. It also started idling a little rough. After further investigation it appears that the engine may be a little bit tired and in need of a rebuild.

I totaled up the cost of an overbore, new pistons, rings, gaskets, valve job, and carb rebuild....it's going to be over $400.

So, I recently acquired a coupon for the HF Predator 670 engine for $659. I decided to give it a try. After tax and deliver it was $727.96 for a brand new engine.

Always wanted to try the Predator 670. Very soon I'll post the install and review.

5. Vegas Carts 460 (billet rod, new crank and cylinder)
6. Vanguard 16hp (stock)
7. Vanguard 16hp (rev kit)
8. Vanguard 23hp (stock)
9. Vanguard 23hp (42mm and 34mm Mikuni carbs)
10. Vanguard 16hp (rev kit and cam)
11. Soon....Predator 670....

The G1 Hunting Cart is officially gone/sold. I didn't get quite enough to make the project a profitable one, but it definitely paid for itself. I did, however, profit from it in other ways than money.

It was a fun project. Kept me out of trouble for many years. Probably kept me sane too I learned a ton on that cart, as it was my first one. That cart also was the one that started my golf cart addiction, and led to many other cart projects.

Time to start a new chapter in my life as well as a new chapter in my golf cart hobby. Farewell G1!

The last and final photos. Loaded up and ready to deliver.
