Default High Gearing

Im wanting to put a high speed rear end in my 2000 Club Car that has a Fe290 engine in it..can anyone tell me where I can get one and if it works on a cart that has been lifted 6 inches..please tell me the pros and cons of this issue..safety issues????

You can get them from just about all the vendors. Check out cartpartsplus. It's an internal part, so should work with any lift using a stock rear end.

Benefits: faster top speed, lower engine revs
Cons: lose torque, and possibly the ability to go up hills depending on hill and load. Probably more likely to roll because you're going faster.

I'd probably use a 10:1 or an 8:1 ratio. Unless you plan to run a big block in the future there is also a 6:1.

I plan on doing mine over the winter.
