Default RXV solenoid clicks, moves a few inches, then stops

When I was going to park my 2017 RXV for the night, the cart stopped while pulling into the garage. Since then, it will turn on and the solenoid clicks, but that is about it. It will move forward and reverse a few inches, then the brake enagages. Checked the voltage for each battery and the full pack at every point I could think of. Voltage is fine so does not seem to be the batteries.

Any thoughts?

Try pulling back on the pedals, if their not all the way up it won't pass the start up test.

Your brake may be failing but nine times out of ten I have these issues on 2016's and later it's because the solenoid is going. Sometimes they'll initially engage but fail to hold when they drop down to running voltage. There was a run of bad OEM solenoids in that time period. If you have a Trombetta and the last two numbers on the serial are 26-28 then you have one from that batch.

If you can get access to a handset for the controller you should look for a "Main Contactor" fault, which indicates the solenoid. If you can't get a handset a new one is only $65.

So I had already tried the pedal and nothing. I had a solenoid on another cart that I swapped out to try. No luck though. Still doing the same thing. Any other advice?

****SOLVED****
Just wanted to update on this in case anyone runs into the same issue. The issue ended up being the speed sensor. The wires had seperated somehow inside the conduit with no evidence that there was an issue. Pulled the sensor, soldered the wires to make sure that was the only issue before placing an order for parts. Ended up being the issue and now is running great with a new sensor. Thanks for the help.

Glad you posted this. I may be in a similar situation so I'll have this on my list of things to check.

No problem. I end up searching the forums forever at times. I will find 20 different questions like mine, but no final answer on what worked. Didn't want this to be one of those cases. Thanks for the suggestions and glad I found the issue.
