Newbie - Is my ezgo PDS or DCS?
What is the difference between a PDS & DCS ezgo? How can I tell what mine is?

Re: Newbie - Is my ezgo PDS or DCS?
What year is your cart? Where is the F/R switch? If it is below your seat, then you probably have a DCS. BUT - some very early PDS models actually had a below the seat F/R. I will need a serial number / model number to be sure. This would only be true if your cart is a 2000 model. If your F/R switch is a rocker style mounted next to your key, then you have a PDS.

My F/R swith is below the seat. I think the year is a 97. I'd have to check to get the actural model & verify the year.

Re: Newbie - Is my ezgo PDS or DCS?
Question:
Couldn't this be a fleet/series cart as well? Unless there is a Tow/Run switch in which case a DCS? |

Re: Newbie - Is my ezgo PDS or DCS?
You are correct in your post. I was assuming that there was a tow / run switch on the controller cover, which is why mch1wjn was asking if they had a DCS or PDS. If there is no tow / run switch, then you have a fleet car.

Re: Newbie - Is my ezgo PDS or DCS?
DCS (Drive Control System) is E-Z-Go's first attempt at a regenerative cart. The regen feature cannot be defeated or modified without replacing expensive parts.
PDS (Precision Drive System) is E-Z-Go's current regen system (prior to the introduction of the new RXV carts of course). It can be programmed to have 4 different levels of regen via "chips" (actually molex connectors with differing wire loop combinations) that select the different performance parameters. |
