Re: Somethings crooked…
That’s not crooked. You just haven’t drank enough yet to make it look straight.

Re: Somethings crooked…
Well something still needs to be tweaked. Tried to fit the body back on yesterday afternoon and it got about 1/2” gap from where the body is supposed to line up, to where it actually fits. I think that curved support beam that goes across the top is still tweaked, so I’m going to have to do some more persuasion on that to try and pull it back. Next week…

Re: Somethings crooked…
Correcting racking problems are difficult. A 1/32" dimensional error at one end can easily give you a 1/2" error at the other. If everything is steel, it is easy to heat and tweak. Much more difficult with a plastic body.
Patience and luck are two things that will help you out. These are both something I have little of however. |

Re: Somethings crooked…
Had to break out the come-a-long, the 5lb hammer, broke two welds, got it back into shape and hit those with the welder. Forgot to take pics but it’s all back together now. The body is still slightly deformed from being bent so much before, but it should go back by the time summer comes around. Also had to put king pins and a couple bushings on the front end, and straighten the steering wheel from where someone knocked it about 90° ccw. Air in the tires, water in the batteries and a minor adjustment to the brakes. All good to park it in the cart shed now until spring. At least I know it won’t get trucked up again until then…
Now onto the next cart with multiple broken welds on the frame… |

Maybe the next cart won't be as EASY as the last one was.
