It stopped working!!!
It's been awhile since this problem occurred. Drive a few feet then sputtered to a stop.
Grabbed the multi meter and captured some data. (Never been able to do this as it's always started working as soon as I started testing.

(Batt pack at 50.8v) axe4855 altrax controller one year old trojan battery's. )

I found voltage between black and white wires at "ITS"
6.2 at sol. Click (not 10v)
&
4.4 at full pedal depress. (Not 6v) this was done with all wires connected.

So, is this an "I T S" or controller issue?

The pedal up voltage is low, so the pedal down voltage being low also isn't surprising.

The controller is the voltage source, so it could be bad, OR the ITS sensor could be bad, OR the wiring between the two could be bad.

Disconnect the in-line connector between the controller and the pedal box and measure the voltage at the controller.
If it is still below 10V, the controller is probably bad.
If it is 10V (or above). The ITS sensor or wiring between controller and ITS sensor is probably bad.

The in-line connector can cause a lot of ITS related problems, so give it a close inspection and good cleaning.
A partial short between the red and green wires could cause the voltage reading you are getting.

Update:
Not a single issue in last few weeks. Now with summer coming on ill prob have to wait awhile before this cart faults out.
I've got a feeling it's the alltrax controller and only occurs in cooler weather.
Not very fun as I'm afraid to do longer trips with my 4yr old daughter on board.
I might call alltrax and see if they have any answers.
Also going to try and locate the proper cord to pull codes up.

Cold weather came through again. And so did this intermittent issue.

1999series cart 48v with altrax 4855 axe controller.

At time of fault.

Batt. pack at 50.9

Black wire to white from ITS

With pedal pushed just far enough to get the solenoid to click, the voltage is (6.2)

With pedal on floor, the voltage was (4.4)

B- to M- Pedal up 44v pedal down 51v

B- to b+ Pedal up. 44v pedal down 51v

Called altrax this Am and they believe it is a controller issue. (Very temp related. Cart only fails at less than @60*f

Hope this helps!

Called altrax
asked about status of my controller
They found a "cold solder joint". Or crack in circuit board"
They are sending out replacement when they have in stock.
Thanks for your help Everyone!

Alltrax has amazing customer service To replace this control after the warranty is unheard of at the competitors shop. I am glad they got this sorted out and made it right for you. Alltrax willing to stand behind a product like this makes choosing your next controller a no-brainer

I agree. They admitted there was a defect and taking responsibility for it.
Very professional and honest.
I'll recommend to others gladly.
Also much appreciation to scotty b with carts unlimited
And JohnnieB of this forum.
