Default Parts Needed to Upgrade 36V EZGO txt to 42v??

Hey Guys,

New member here. I've been curious about upgrading my 2001 36V EZGO TXT with PDS to a 42 V.

I like the idea of adding a new 6V battery. I like the greater performance while using the existing space under the seat.

I suspect I need:

1) A new controller (which kind? Model #?)
2) A new solenoid (which kind? Model #?)
3) thicker gauge cables?
4) 42 V charger (again model #'s, etc?)

Anything else I need to keep in mind? Thanks everyone!

Use an Alltrax aftermarket 400 a control. DCX400PDS on sale with 200a solenoid for $499 or XCT400PDS and HD 200 solenoid for $529

1. XCT48400PDS or DCX400PDS controller
2. Solenoid that works on 42V (The one I use works on 36V, 42V and 48V)
3. All 10 high current cable should be 4Ga or thicker. Stock F1&F2 cables will suffice unless insulation is worn were they are routed around the battery box frame.
4. DPI Accusense 42V charger.
