I replaced my AXE4865 with an SPM48400 controller today and it looks like the problem is fixed. It is running great, but my only concern is the LED blinks RED 4 times then turns solid red when the controller powers on. It is blinking the correct sequence for the ITS except it is red instead of green. It is probably unlikely, but could the LED have been installed backwards at the factory?

There have been other Alltrax controllers whose LED flashed the wrong color.

Give the vendor or Alltrax a call.

Ok, i'll give them a call. As for the AXE4865, is there anything that can be done with it or is it garbage?

AXE is not rebuildable, its a paperweight, and maybe a stinky one.

Nope not stinky or burned, and looks like brand new. It just decided to work when it wants to the other day. These things cost too much to not be repairable.

I has a 2 year warranty. Call Alltrax see if they can add anything to the discussion.

I found an axe controller. Put it on my 95 medalist and changed the throttle setting to its. It blinks 4 times and stays solid. The cart won’t run but clicks. Between pin 2 and 3 I get 14v but doesn’t decrease with the pedal so bad controller? Between b- and m- gets full voltage with solenoid click but doesn’t decrease either.

You have an ITS throttle on a 95 Medalist? I would have thought it would be a 0-5K type throttle?
