I'm fairly certain my meter is reading 'right'. I was scared to leave charger running overnight, so I'll charge it tomorrow or Saturday so I can watch it to rule out weak batteries. Is it possible that something is limiting the volts/amps? Maybe the OBC?

Hey,

Hmm should not be the on board comp. I worked on cars with a bad computer and it still runs. It's really for your charger. I'm trying to think of what else it could be. When it had no strain and it's in the air it runs fine but when it's down it won't....hmm

Motor frozen, maybe? Differential?
The 50.5v, is that an at rest voltage? Hook your meter to the pack and try to drive the cart with the wheels on the ground. Watch to see if the voltage drops significantly under the load. If you were to have a battery problem, it may not show itself until the cart is under heavy load. Though not common, new batteries can have a bad cell or two

The OBC does have a lockout feature that prevents the cart from running while the charger is plugged in. If there were an issue with this system, the cart wouldn't run at all, whether in the air or on the ground. Basically an "all or nothing" type of thing

What kind of throttle control does this have? I don't see it in the picture.

Cc fanatic do you think the obc locking out and malfunctioning is a common issue? Just wondering because I have never encountered it yet

I wouldn't classify it as a common issue that causes a "no-run" condition at all, but every once in a while there will be a example of it

Hey,

Ok thanks for your opinion. But I think your right he is having a voltage drop out problem probably. I think he needs to load test the batteries and maybe we will get further. It doesn't seem like there is any other problem in his car so far

Considering the fact that everything functions right when it's in the air
