Default Brake help. 2003 club car ds. Drum brakes?

I need help with a detailed explanation of how to adjust the brakes on club car ds for a non mechanical individual.(but learning) Basically I have little to no brakes at this point.
It does not have that screw on back of hub to do the simple adjustment.

I tried to adjust the cable from under the cart but still no change. I am not even sure I am doing it right.

Is it time for new pads? How do these brakes work?

Thanks

For starters go here and familiarize yourself with all the parts in the brake group. > http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...rs-manual.html

That way when these guys say brake adjuster or shoe you won't have to say " whats that? "

When you step on the brake pedal, can you see both sliders moving on the back of the brake backing plates? Also, inspect the lines at the equalizer, right under the middle of the cart. Make sure nothing is binding.

How far does the pedal move when you press it?

How do you know the sliders are moving, do you have the brake drums off so you can see them?
