Default Behind dash electronics

Anyone ever use the space behind the dash for mounting electronics? I added a voltage reducer from Scotty B, and with it a fuse box, buss bar, and a relay. I installed everything on the drivers side wheel well cover where the original fuse panel had been. I guess it will all be fine there, but I've filled that space up and it is pretty exposed. I kept thinking about the space behind the dash but didnt know if it was worth it to take the time to come up with a way to access that spot once the cart was back together. Even though I've got all of that stuff installed already, Im still waiting on my new body to arrive, and I keep looking at that space thinking of how much better of a spot it is, as far as keeping things clean, dry, and out of the way.

The only problem I see is that its inaccessible once the front cowl is back on. I was thinking of cutting the bottom of that area out and using some sort of piano hinge and clasp setup. That way, you could unlatch it and fold that bottom piece down to access anything you put in there. Has anyone done anything like this, or have any good ideas?

Note: that wood grain dash isn't going back in, its just there as a mock up.

Yes, I mounted my 12V reducer and fuses behind the dash. It fit with plenty of room to spare

Thanks, did you come up with a way to access it without removing the cowl? Just in case you need to get to it?

There are 4 screws underneath that allow the dash cover to be removed on the RXV, so access is not difficult. The LED flasher unit is under the cupholder, another good spot for electronics on an RXV. Of course, your cart is different so it'll change things for you.
