Default motor brake does not fully disengage

I have a 2009 RXV. The motor brake does not seem to fully disengage. If I go slow and take my foot off the accelerator (with out using the brake) my cart will stop pretty quickly and I can feel the brake grabbing. There is also a "burning" smell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

New brake & be easy with bolt torque on the bolts (just enough to flatten the lock washers). Once you can smell a Rxv brake, the game is over for that brake. I saw (& just had to try) a Rxv brake rebuild kit from "those other guys". It looked real nice, didn't work worth a crap.

This is what you need. I'm not affiliated with this seller but I've bought from him before myself.

Follow the advice of cgtech about mounting and I hope this fixes your brake issue for a good while.

cg and Bob thanks for the help. I'll get right on that new brake part. My cart has been down for a couple of weeks and my 2 year old daughter is wanting her rides with daddy on the cart. This will get us back on the road!!

Thanks again for the help. It is greatly appreciated.
