ok i tried rotating it to several positions, it did not help. it drives fine with a slight vibration.but i am going to order a new one i am afraid the bolt will break off up into the shaft.new rear end if that happens.

keep in mind that splitting the rear end to install a new input shaft *by default* involves installing high-speed gears as long as You're in there, just sayin ....
In all seriousness, What *I* would do prior to getting too bent about the situation (no pun intended) is to drive it without the seat and watch the DC to make sure it's actually wobbling and that it isn't a belt issue or ?!??!! (Of course THAT would be too dangerous to condone) ... I've never seen the splines mangle to the point where a clutch couldn't be on it without shaking. How did the splines look when it was off, BTW, did You peek inside the clutch to see if it was OK in there too? I only ask because it really takes a LOT to bung things up to a non-recoverable point .... |
