2006 ezgo timing belt shaft problem
I bought a 2006 ezgo that had low to no power and the top end had a rattle.
He told me it had recently been rebuilt by one of the local cart guys so i assumed maybe it needed valves or adjustment. when pulling the engine apart i noticed play in the lower timing belt sprocket. when i removed it the shaft had a key way that was 1/4 wide(should be more like 1 / 8 ) the valves and cylinders look good. I noticed that there is an access cover on the opposite side of the engine that alligns with the shaft. Is that lower shaft that spins the timing belt serviceable without splitting the case????? Thanks Last edited by Thimmesch1; 01-18-2017 at 09:12 PM.. Reason: it put a smiley face where 1/8 was |
