Rear End shot?
So my 1999 EZGO is not moving in either gear, the clutch is actuating and doing what it supposed to do, but it won’t move in forward or reverse. No nearing noise or clunking prior to this.
My buddy says the rear end is shot. Any ideas ??? |

Re: Rear End shot?
Try grabbing the shift lever on the rear end and manually move it to forward or reverse. Could be a broken cable.
Could also check for a stripped drive hub on the axle |

Re: Rear End shot?
As with what Skoal said. Check for stripped hubs. Pretty common on those. The REAR ends are pretty strong and can usually handle quite a bit.

Re: Rear End shot?
Thanks guys but all that has been checked, is there a shift fork inside the rear end or something that actuates it into gear?

Re: Rear End shot?
Yes. There is a shift fork in there. PM me your email address and I will send you service manual for the EZGO transaxle. It contains a lot of part breakdowns and diagrams. About 40 pages.
