Interesting...well, this was info from the truck driver that was delivering them, so we can see how reliable THAT was. Plus, IIRC, doesn't Club Car tend to 'overlap' when they phase out models. In other words, didn't they offer both the DS & Precedent simultaneously before completely switching to Precedent?

I wouldn't put much faith in what the truck driver says either. I've since talked to a couple of other guys at Club Car and they confirmed the Precedent is here to stay. They're just giving people options. You are correct about the overlap. They overlapped for a decade before the DS was discontinued. Another interesting thing is that when they introduced their last "NEW GOLF CAR" (The Precedent) it was a totally different car than their current DS. That's not really the case here. The Tempo is just a Precedent with a different body on it and a few little different trim features. It's still a Precedent underneath. Just looks a little different.

Look under the cowl and the plastic underneath is still molded to the Precedent front body.

Just to add, my dealer told me at a recent dealers get together that Club Car is working to get heavily into the aftermarket market. Apparently they realize that golf courses are not as popular as they once were. They also realize that golf carts sales are growing in the recreational market including accessorizing. Due to this they are looking at new opportunities. I know the Onward was a result of this market and have heard they are quite a few more accessories coming.
