With those adjustable ones, when you take the cover cover off you will see a small adjustment screw. You won't be able to miss it. Turning the screw one way will reduce resistance and increase voltage in the circuit. Turning it the other way will increase resistance and decrease voltage in the circuit.

The best thing to do is the jack the back of your cart up, get it running about half speed and test voltage at the battery. You should see 14v or so there, it doesn't have to be exact. If you see too little voltage there, say 13.5 or less, or too much, say over 14.5, then adjust away with the screw until you get it right. Obviously, with a 12v battery you need more than 12v going back to the battery while to cart is running to make sure the battery is charging.

Those VRs are internally insulated you don't have to worry about mounting. Mount it directly to the frame as to minimize vibrations. Vibration + adjustment screw = no bueno.

So I finally got the adjustable VR in and had a chance to mount it up in my G29. My OEM VR has a clip with the 3 wires ( Red/white, green, and black) that go into it. Can someone help me out on which wires go where on the adjustable VR. The markings are D+,D-, and DF. I would assume +=red white, -=black, and by elimination, the DF is the green wire.....but I don't like assuming when it comes to electrical. Just want to be sure I wire this thing correctly the first time. TIA
