Be ready for the "auto fill jug" to automatically overfill every battery. You will know their overfull when they start making a acid mess everywhere. I have never seen a auto fill jug that didn't overfill.

From my experience new batts don’t use very much water but still check.

I bought a bulb type turkey baster and wrote ACID all over it with a sharpie. I found using a flashlight under a covered area or around dusk let me see the plates best. I’ve changed from a hand held to a headband flashlight so I have two hands when filling and I’m nervous about dropping it on the batteries. For most of the batts I’ve owned the perfect level is between a little over 1/2 to 3/4’s the distance from the plates to the lowest part of the plastic in the fill hole. Also my baster won’t hold water so I have to tip it up after I suck up the water from the jug.

Don’t forget to coat the battery terminals with protector if you haven’t done so already.

I used dielectric grease. I added a thin layer between the connectors and then put big globs over the top of the whole connection/post That has always worked good for me with my boat in saltwater - they always look brand new under the goop.
