Wheels and tires
Hoping maybe someone here can get me going in the right direction on replacing my wheels and tires.
Our cart is used the majority of the time at camp grounds. Surfaces are sometimes paved, sometimes gravel and sometime dirt. We have 10” ITP wheels with a fairly generic all terrain tire. My thought is to go to a 12” wheel ( no lift on the cart and don’t really want one) and would like a recommendation on tires given our terrain variance. Thanks all! Re: Wheels and tires
You WILL loose ride quality on any surface other than smooth pavement by going to 12" rims and roughly the same overall tire size. Remember, these are not 3000 pound vehicles like a car and the tire sidewall is a major suspension part. The springs will only react so much before the rest of the bump is transferred to your rear. Just something to keep in mind.

Re: Wheels and tires
Thank you for bringing that point up, should have added it to my original question.
Would going to more of an off road tire with taller side wall be an option to retain some ride quality? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Wheels and tires
Most stock EZGO TXTs will accept 20" tires without a lift if the suspension is in good shape. Stick with 10" rims and use moderate tire pressure. Experiment with pressure adjustments one or two psi at a time to find a pressure with good ride and safe handling.

Re: Wheels and tires
First I would like to recommend one of our sponsors for your wheels/tires, I have been buying wheels and tires from them even before they were a sponsors, they have great prices and FREE SHIPPING! can't beat that.
http://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/ as mentioned.....a bigger sidewall will help with the ride, so I too suggest to stick with a 10" wheel, and go with a 20" tire as they will fit on carts with NO LIFT. here is a good choice for your application. http://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/20...ires-set-of-4/ |

Re: Wheels and tires
Thanks for your feedback. Might have to hold off on that upgrade at the moment, (see my post about cart issues) but will always consider a site sponsor first.
