Default Re: how to tell if i blow the pulsar or ignitor?

well i finally got around to it today and yes you where right.the front crank seal poped out. i was able to get the flywheel off without pulling the engine, i will order a new seal tonight but i was wondering how to keep this from happening again. i used red locktight the last time i replaced them, anything else i can do to keep it in place? also my crankbearings r good i checked that already
thanks again for all the input

On the housing stake the seal on place with a small punch. Slightly deforming the metal of the engine housing to hold it in. I also use bearing setting compound. It is a green liquid. Make sure the surfaces are super clean, clean with an alcohol based solvent to remove residual oils. The compound and staking it in place, 3-4 places will work very well.
