Default 91 2 cycle EZGO not running long and floods out

I just purchased a 91 EZGO 2 cycle golf cart for $100. (The guy got it from his brother and didn’t have time to find out what was wrong with it) so he sold it to me. When I first got it didn’t run. I checked the fuel pump and no fuel came out by the carb. So I cleaned it out as best as I could and put it back on. Got gas but still didn’t fire. So I took the carb off and found out the needle and seat was stuck. Cleaned it out and put it back on. Bam it fired up. It ran for about 15 ft and died. It smelt flooded. I found out that the (what I think it’s called) a fuel jet adj. screw was missing. Ordered a rebuild carb. Put it on. Ran 5 blocks and flooded out again. Another person said to change the fuel pump. Today I changed it and now I have excessive fuel coming out of the exhaust and still doesn’t fire. I wanna try a couple more things before I take it in. And suggestions on what I can do? I’m not sure how to adjust the carb at all but I have tried to adjust the float a couple of times but I still have no idea what I’m doing. Lol

Your float might be sticking open. The other thing to check is your adjusting screw on the side. I have read it supposed to be set at 1-1/2 turns out from closed. I'm working on one now and it seems I'm having the opposite of your problem. Mine runs for a few minutes and seems to not be getting fuel.

Did either of you get your carts going? And if so what was your fix? I have a 90 that has too much gas.
