Default EZ GO GAS Help Needed.. Multiple ?s.

I purchased this non running cart from an individual. The cart has no Manu tags anywhere to determine year of make. The cart has a plastic body and 3 bolts for the steering column. I would like to narrow down the exact year model. That is question number one.

Question number two is what exact micro switches do I need for this Forward Revers Switch. From what I can gather only one micro switch attaches to the FNR. However I have some other wires as can be seen in pics. Does another microswitch go here too? Thank and I appreciate your help. This is my first time rebuilding a golf cart.

That’s a TXT from between 1996 to about 2002. The microswitch is probably for a reverse beeper.

Four stroke carts have a switch like that. It shifts the gears in the rear end.

i am searching but not sure what part number of microswitch will it take for the reverse buzzer on this cart and from what I can determine there is one more microswitch that goes on some of this wiring in the photo but unsure of which one. Thanks for all the help as it is needed.

Maybe they switched in mid 2001. You are the gas cart expert here.

The changover started mid 2001, so some crossover models where produced around 2002.

the microswitch on the F/R mechanism is for the reverse buzzer, no other switches will be placed there. the other microswitch on the diagram is for the ignition and is located in a box under the floor panel and operated by the gas pedal.

The wiring layout for the switch will be found in the Parts diagram if you can find one in the tech section. You need to follow the wiring diagram carefully to reconnect everything properly as the path for the power is unconventional and does not follow an obvious route.
