Default G2 Balance shaft

Looking for advice about running a G2 engine without the counter balance shaft. I am rebuilding an engine that was run low on oil and the balancer wore the socket in the block badly.

Debating on having a bushing made for the block or just leaving it out.

I have found a couple of threads about it, but haven’t seen anything about long term results.

Thanks!

A while back I talked to Don Plowman about rebuilding these engines, and he said they dont use the balance shafts.

Correct. Engine will run fine. I have built a couple of engine without them about 6-7 years ago and they are still running.
