Question about hip restraints
Hi. Are there smaller hip restraints available? I have the usual ones,
but I have difficulty getting over them and have ended up with sore ischial tuberosities. I ride my cart a lot over our large property. Can I take the driver's side ones off, or is it the only thing that keeps the seat on that side from falling forward? (and/or me falling out)? I've seen some that have the slope of the restraint go down sooner than the one I have, but I'm not sure that would help. Thanks for your help! |

Re: Question about hip restraints
There are metal tabs on the front of the seat that actually hold the seat in place. I'm not sure if there are different types available as I've never really looked into them. but removing the driver's side would have no ill effects on the seat itself. You may have a sliding out issue on a right turn if not holding on tightly.

Re: Question about hip restraints
I was looking for wider ones cause my pistol gets caught in mine when my wife drives and the dog hogs the seat

Re: Question about hip restraints
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just try taking it off. If I fall out, I guess I'll then try to find a huge bungee cord to hold me in, providing I survive the fall. I have the weirdest problems! Thanks again!

Re: Question about hip restraints
Thanks Sir Nuke! I took off the hip restraint and I haven't fallen out yet, so I guess won't need the seat belts yet. :)
