Default Yamaha g14 -- cranking -- not pulling fuel

Good Morning folks,

I am at a loss, Im working on my first ever Yamaha G14 gas cart, Im more familiar with EZGO -- this cart is going to, hopefully if I can get it running, our family cart....

Anyways I cant get it to draw fuel from the tank, Ive got a brand new fuel pump, it has a brand new carb. The engine does have compression at the crank case hose that goes in the fuel pump. However its not sucking the fuel... any tips??

Is the inlet to the hose in the tank blocked ? Is the elbow on top the tank going to the pump cracked ?

I'm with Ray, I'd be checking all of you hoses. Also check and replace the fuel filter. If your hoses are old, just replace them, it's cheap. I think it should be 1/4" rubber fuel hose, it's like $2 a foot. Get new clamps too.

If there is a pick up tube inside the fuel tank, pull it out and inspect it. Those have been know to crack if they are hard plastic. Over the years the gasoline and ethanol eats at the plastic line.

I dont believe its cracked or blocked -- I shot a squirt of air through the 90 and gas shot out, it has a brand new filter as well.. I will start with hoses next...

Thank you both for the prompt replies!!!
