yamaha g1
I have just purchased an old yamaha g1 and plan to restore it to be used by grandchildren to ride around the farm.
I have already gotten it running and am in the process of replacing tires and seats. Seems to run pretty well on jack stands and will soon know how it performs on its wheels. |

Re: yamaha g1
G1's are very cool classic carts. Very heavy duty and durable. Parts are getting harder to find, but for now they are decently supported.
One modification with these carts is to disconnect the oil injection system, they can clog and/or stop working since they are very old, which can ruin your engine. I recommend premixing at 100:1 or 125:1 with a good high quality synthetic air cooled 2 cycle oil. |

Re: yamaha g1
Yes you can. I just set mine up like that and it works well. As far as mixture goes, I used 50-1 with premium gas and quality synthetic two cycle oil. A polaris tech recommended this mix and its worked well with no smoke.
