Yep, beat me to it, belt only touching on the high side of the belt and pulleys. might need to grab a OEM belt and start with a good base line.

I agree! Do you know the correct part number for the deep v belt.

Yamaha OE # J55-H1173-00 for the starter generator belt. J55-G6241-00 for the drive belt.
