What I know I’ve done on other carts is pump the tank empty. Then shove a terry cloth towel in there and use a long pry bar to scrub it around. Picks up the dirt pretty good. Then remove the rag, and blow it out best you can. New lines and filters and anything you miss in the tank should be caught by the fuel filter.
CP241, I do appreciate what you do on this forum and never meant to correct you .

I knew you were thinking of the workhorse and how easy the tank is to remove.
These TXT carts are a pain to remove the gas tank when they could have designed them a much different way. Always wondered why

Yes the ezgo tanks are a b**ch to get out.

Drain the fuel with a vacuum pump and discard. Put a little more fuel in, pump it out again. Repeat until all the trash is out. Then use a long stick with a shop rag zip tied to the end like a swab, then use it to rub the inside of the tank to get the slimy stuff. Put some more fuel in, pump out again. Done.

A lady in Titusville FL had a gas can turn over in the trunk of her car. She went to a car wash and commenced vacuuming it out with the vacuum there. It exploded, blew the vacuum apart and burned it up. She and her car were uninjured. In 1972 a similar incident blew the windows out of a Chrysler Plymouth dealership. Also no injuries except for shock and ringing ears. I was present for that one. Some of life's small events make a lasting impression.
