Exclamation 2002 TXT Electrical Help

I have a 2002 EZGO TXT (Gas).

I am having an intermittent problem getting the golf cart to crank. I am getting 12v to the blue wire (from key switch) to the solenoid. And I believe my ground is good.

With the key in the 'on' position, when depressing the gas peddle to start the cart I am getting my 12v drawn down to 9-9.5v.

The solenoid (which I thought was the original problem) was replaced along with the voltage regulator.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Battery is also new.

Try tapping on your starter with a hammer lightly when pressing the pedal when it won't run...sounds like the brushes in your starter/generator may be worn/dirty and sticking...

There is a microswitch under the pedal box that can fail and cause a voltage drop, have you looked at that yet? under the floor mat is an access panel to it from the drivers side

Just checked it. The switch OHMs out just fine. I do see voltage drop across that switch but hard to tell where it is coming from.

have you tried just jumping the key switch wires and trying? that would eliminate that as a dropout under a load...if that doesn't work try jumping the two wires at that micro to eliminate that as well...remember to put cart in neutral or lift rear tires just in case it starts running and won't stop lol

If you tie the small red wire with the 7 amp fuse that goes from the hot, big solenoid terminal to the reverse micro switch directly into the green wire that goes up to the key switch, you bypass the pedal micro switch. Turning the key should activate the solenoid and the starter generator. if the pedal micro switch is the problem, you won't get the big voltage drop. For that matter, you can take a long wire tied to the positive side of the battery and touch it to each connection point on the circuit path to the solenoid. When you see 12 volts, you found your bad wire connector or device.
