Default Little Black Box connected to Solenoid

Been fixing up and selling carts this year and ran into an issue.

The cart is a 2016 Yamaha G29 Drive with solid trojan 8v batteries.

The main positive battery terminal fried out on the cart, severing a few wires. I had the customer replace the battery and wires and it's still not working. The solenoid isn't clicking so that is the next step. I'm going to replace that today.

Could it be something else? (Controller?)

What is the little black box that connects two red wires to the solenoid? I cannot find a part online. Could that be needing replacement?

Thanks in advance!

Could it be a fuse or diode? Or is it just a closed box?

There should be a 3 amp fuse in that.

It's a little black box that says, "ADP80 5.3F". Looks like it's a diode and not a fuse. Thank you!

Check it with a voltmeter. Set it to check diode. Should be able to send power one way and not the other if its good.

Its a pre-charge resistor.
Yamaha calls it a Resistor Comp.
