Default new batts-was slow

installed new controller, cables, batts [36v v glide], dig volt meter, was cycling batts bringing down to 36.3 then recharge, on 7th time i notice its a little faster but almost not go up a hill, after last charge i jacked up rear wheels to watch meter while holding to floor with a stick and i seen how the linkage hooked to the v glide so i slide my hand down past the batts and pulled the linkage both ways, when i pushed it backwards further it speeded up big time so i adjusted for this and now it goes full speed, it was like this when i bought it from a guy. cant wait to get these new batts thru about 12 charges now.

Hey Wedge, you can take the cover off of the v-glide and with the key off and cart in neutral, depress the pedal and see if the wiper arm contact is making it all the way up to the final stationary contact.
