Default 1990 Ezgo 3pg carburetor question

Ugh, so what Mikuni carb is my 3pg supposed to have on it? I took it off and it has BV18 in the casting, is that the correct carburetor? Is there a bigger carb that will work, would there be any gain? I need to order a carb but I want to do this right the first time so if I can install a better option what would you choose?

The BV-18 was used from 1980 to 1993 with the exception of 1988 which was the year of the HO (High Output) 2PG. This year EZGO used the BV-24 which was 1/3 larger. (source ezgo shop http://www.shopezgo.com/products/Car...roduct_id=2607 )

I would guess that the BV-24 didn't work out too well so I would stick to the OEM spec unless you are really brave and want to experiment with the BV-24.

I know that the thread is old but I am going to take a chance ask what you did to fix the shaft. I just got one of these carts and there isn’t any thing that would support or seal around the top of the throttle shaft. Hope you’re still doing well.
Best Regards
