Walmart has them in the marine section. I pop riveted mine in. A small screw will also work.

So I do have a question, the directions are a little blurry and I'm well a newbie. I want to connect mine to the key switch. I know one wire goes from the meter to the neg battery terminal, the other goes from positive on the meter to the key switch. Which terminal, the yellow wire, or one with yellow and white stripe???

Whichever wire that gets pack voltage AFTER you turn the key to ON.

The wire colors tell me you either have a PDS or a DCS cart.
Try measuring the voltage with the Run/Tow switch in the Run position.

------------
My guess on the impossibly high voltage is that you have an auto-ranging DVM and it is reading milli-volts.

So run tow in run, I tapped into the one that gave me a reading, and turned the key on and nada. Retraced wires added a new connection and bam it works. It works when the key is off and on....is it connected backwards? But whe I turn to tow, it turns off...I'm ok with that, just want to know what I did wrong??

Sounds like you are on the feed side of the switch....... Try putting it on with the green wire. Do you have a green wire? Should be the peddle box feed (switched)

The keyswitch is a simple make/break affair in the control circuit. One wire is hot ALL THE TIME (assuming the Run/Tow switch is in Run), and the second wire only becomes hot when the key is turned ON. As for the Run/Tow switch, it is upstream from the keyswitch and when placed in TOW it cuts the power to the keyswitch.

Thanks for the great SOC chart, I have analog meter, but the digital one in pic and installation are really nice. I'll have to consider a digital one . Thanks for valuable info
