It seems relatively stable but I think sometimes the plug does not go in all the way, If I put tape on it, it might not go in all the time. Definitely need to replace the cart recep.

I dunno how much they cost, but I'll bet they ain't cheap. Is it possible to remove and use fiberglass cloth and resin, or is it toast? Sometimes I go overboard, others I go cheap.

Golf Cart King has new receptacles with no wiring for $52 and Bryant Golf Cars has used receptacles for $59 with wiring. Anybody deal with these companies or have an opinion on which option? Found them both on Ebay.

Thanks again!

Concur. Buy new. Your wiring should be fine and eliminate the reed switch if it comes with one. Just bypass it.

Or maybe just replace both connections with SB50 plugs. Not as clean as original but much cheaper.
