Default e-z-go marathon help

Just did something stupid today. Wash off my cart and didn't think about water and electric are not friends. Wash off batterys and all.I let it sit outside for two or three hours and put it up.in a hour or so my wife and I drove it to a restaurant in town and it was fine. When we got back on it to come home and now if you turn the key on and it's in forward it goes without pushing the pedal same thing in reverse. Can someone tell me what I have done.

OR open up the box and get a hair dryer and dry it out.....THEN seal up the box better.

what year is the cart? My 89 marathon did that. I had some arcing issues on the wiper board. The wiper would arc on the studs and then weld them together. This caused power to be getting to the motor at all times, making it run as soon as you put in gear.

It's a 92 marathon.

This is my first golf cart. And I know nothing about them. That being said what and where is the wiper board?

Do you have a Picture?

Your cart has a PB6 potentiometer, it will be in the middle of the batteries, and your cart has a speed controller, not a wiper board, if your cart does not look like the pic that Tculpepper posted. dry that PB6 out real good and you should have no more problems

PB6 potentiometer

this is what you cart should look like under the seat, there will be a black plastic cover over all of this
