Default Batteries

I just picked up a set of 6- 8 volt batteries. I won't be able to get them in a cart for about 3 months. How is the best way to maintain them?

connect them up in series, just like they are in the cart. and use your carts charger to charge them.

Get a 48V DPI charger, connect them in series and float charge them until you install them.

I did that with my 42V battery pack for several months while I rustled up someone with a strong back and weak mind to help me install them.
