Default Any New Ideas On Locking The Seat?

I have been watching for new ideas on how to lock the cart seat for the past several years and have seen little posted.

With the increasing popularity of non golf use of the carts I can't believe someone hasn't come up with a way to lock the seat.

I know someone will post that locks only keep the honest people out. My cart is parked in a public lot during the week with about 40 other carts. My thought is that if a thief wants to get in and out as quickly as possible. If he sees that mine is locked he won't want to take the time to force it open or go to one that isn't locked.

Any new seat lock ideas out there?

I agree with you. I am working on a seat lock kit that will be available in the next 4 months.

Great news Scotty. Will this be a hasp type, electric or what? If you don't want to divulge any info at this time I understand.

I think it's been a true struggle for ScottyB's lead engineer on this one. Here's a photo of said lead engineer back "at it" on an early Monday morning working on this very project:

I made a locking system for seats with a keyless remote. It's not hard to do.

I have some parts on order to build a non prototype system that can be mass marketed.

Wow....not only was that video crappy....but it showed absolutely nothing on how the setup worked or was installed. It was like......a complete waste of 60 seconds of my life.

Also as flimsy as that looked, I bet it could still be pulled open fairly easy.
