1999 EZGO TXT service differential
Just picked up a nice EZ. Gone through everything to make sure everything is good, but have no details as to what type and quantity of gear oil for the differential. This one has the conventional type round cover that faces down.

Re: 1999 EZGO TXT service differential
EZGO installs 10oz of SAE-30 motor oil at the factory.
Some guys replace it with gear oil. Others use a 80/20 mix of SAE-30 and a friction modifier (IE: STP) SAE-30 motor oil and SAE-85W gear oil have about the same viscosity. I'm currently using Lucas 85W-140 gear oil, but will be going to Lucas 75W-90 synthetic the next time I change the oil in my differential |
