Default Speed magnet with a Regen 1 Club Car

I have a 96 regen 1 Club Car DS. Mild lift and slightly bigger tires.

Would any of the magnets that lift the limiter on the newer carts work on my older first gen?

Thanks!

The earlier Regen carts don't complain about the lack of a working speed sensor, that only started with the IQ system and newer.

If You don't care to loose the Regen brake, just disconnect the speed sensor and the cart will go a few more mph, but not much more on that old system.

I've seen unplugging the sensor recommended on this board. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the info.
