Default 2014 Precedent Movement Issues - Video

Hey Guys,

New to golf carts, just picked this up not long ago.

Its a 2014 Club Car Precedent.

I recently pulled the motor and did the bandit upgrade by Plum Quick.

Has worked flawlessly for the last week.

Today I replaced the rear springs with HD ones.

When I started it up, and reversed I heard a noise (can't recall if it was a clunk or a pop) then it would no longer move.

I shot a quick video of the issue.

Thanks again in advance for the help!

Two side notes:

It hadn't happened often but I had suspected the Forward/Reverse switch to be going bad, as it would sometimes take a couple clicks in either direction for it to engage or realize which mode I was trying for.

Also just now when messing with it the solenoid was not clicking over each time.

Thanks

Brad

Check the Controller, the quick connects for F1 or F2 came loose.

Hey Sergio, thanks for the advice. Went and looked at the F1 and F2 connection to the controller and it looked fine, and still looked solid at the motor location.

Do you think this is a problem with the motor?

The solenoid seems to be clicking over about 50% of the time now.

Sorry to keep throwing things at this but I feel the more information I provide the better. I didn't disconect the batteries while working on the cart as it was just the rear suspension. Not sure if that would have caused any issues. I don't remember any major shorts or anything.

With the batteries connected, Tow/Run switch in Run; place the black (–) probe on packs main Negative post and the red (+) probe on the yellow wire at the 3-pin connector near the MCOR. (The reading should be approximately ~0.32vdc to .5vdc with the pedal up). Slowly press the Go Pedal and the readings should increase until it reaches ~4.65vdc or higher when the pedal is fully pressed. (Anything less than 4.60vdc and you are not reaching full throttle). If the reading is erratic or jumps all over the place it is a bad MCOR output signal..... Get one here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/mcors

If the reading is correct, we can check the controller output next as that will most likely be your problem....

The first thing I thought of was that you may have shorted two of the motor terminals when changing the spring. But you said.

Did you have any minor shorts? One small spark is all you need to take out the controller.

Is it working when you spin the wheel every time? Really sounds like a motor issue to me. Brushes or something.
