Default Adding a light bar

I want to add a light bar to the cart but I want it to come on with the headlight instead of adding a separate switch. My headlight is not LED and has blinkers. Can I splice into the +/- of the headlight wiring and be done with it? Do I have to change out the headlight relay? This is an 09 precedent.

How many amps does your lightbar actually draw? [If it is a chicom one pay no attention to the wattage of it as they are never driven 100%]. What rating on the relay? What gauge wire? Will there be times when you only want the factory lights as "low beams"?

I havent chosen a light bar yet, still comparing products. The relay is whatever the stock relay is for the incandescent bulbs. I hadn't thought about using a light bar as high beams vs low beams. My initial thought was to use them at the same time since the headlight was so bad. I was thinking about mounting a 15" or 20" light on the bottom of my front basket.

If your switch, fuse, wiring etc. can handle it yes. I would be afraid that the light bar would be too bright for some situations. I would simply run it off a different switch and be done with it.
