90 club car forward,reverse THANKX
HEY GUYS hopin to get some help i'm new at this cart stuff.
i have a 90 club car (electric) forward is slow as could be expected about 8mph. maybe. reverse will barely move. i went to the search part to get some ideas but it didn't answer completely.my question is the reverse wire is hooked to the first battery and forward is hooked to the 4th battery can i hook the reverse wire to the same as forward.and is the forward wire hooked to the right battery or should it be hooked to the last battery. Its a 36 volt with all new batteries. Any help would be great THANKX GUYS  |

Normal operation is that reverse is half speed, so it should be connected in the middle of the pack, forward should be the last battery in the pack

YES , i just bought it the guy said he wired it so i figured it was right since it ran. I know the batteries are good because i bought them. so your sayin i should move the reverse wire to the 3rd or 4th battery and forward to the last.

Yeah or if it is only adults driving you can put reverse on the same post as forward .

the last battery in the pack may be #4 depending on who wired it , But you will know it is the last Battery connected in series,

its not connected to the last battery in the series the only wire connected to the last battery is the negative wire from the motor.I looked at the wiring diagram in the search forum and it is wired like the diagram with reverse on battery 1 and forward on battery 4 but you would think it should be the way you said it so the cart runs on all 36 volts.

Do yourself a favor ..... Stop guessing and get an inexpensive VOLTMETER!!!! Test the voltage BEFORE you connect your expensive components to a source....
 All batteries are connected in a series 36v is taken from #1 and #6 Follow the charging wires from the recepticle they will point you towards the 36v connection BUT get a voltmeter ..... |
