Electric Club Car will not go
I have a 2001 electric Club Car that will not go. 1) Press pedal, hear click; 2) Forward and reverse same thing; 3) Parked after using and next day will not go; 4) Did this one time before (month or more ago) and after a minute or so started working again. I found a wiring diagram on line but the resolution is so low that when I enlarge it you can not read it. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Have a GREAT day, Al.

Re: Electric Club Car will not go
Typically this is caused by a bad connection at the F&R switch. Try wiggling the switch and/or slamming it into F and R. Check all of the cable connections to see if they are clean and tight. Give all of the battery cables the 'tug' test ... they may be just barely there. What is the battery pack voltage reading?

Scottyb, thanks a bunch. You were exactly right, I wiggled the F/R switch some more and it started back up. Have a GREAT day.

Re: Electric Club Car will not go
You can take the F&R apart and clean the contacts or replace it if the contacts are burnt up

You Can Also Spray Some Wd-40 On The Switch That Also Helps.

Re: Electric Club Car will not go
Try a new can scotty, That used to be the problem back in the day but I've read that they changed the formula to raise the flashpoint to almost water.
I also used to use WD as a starter fluid when working on mowers in the day, not any more. |
