Default Manual charger

Converted one of my carts to 48 volts. I have a 48 volt manual charger. With all the talk about leaving the charger on till it stops made me wonder how long and how often I should charge my new batteries. (well they are a yr old now) I now put it on 5 to 6 hours after every 1/2 to 3/4 hour use. Is that too much ...not enough? Meter always starts at 20 but works its way down to practically nill.

This is hard to say, the longer U run (peddle time) the more charge U need.
But too much charge boils batteries and causes early death.
Not enough causes low charge which would reduce peddle time if U needed it.

Probably depends on how far the batteries are depleted when U start charge.
And this can depend on motor, tire size, driving conditions, controller , efficiency of charger ...etc.

So each person has to work out their own schedule !
