Loose Front End/Steering?
My buddy's cart seems to have something loose in the front end. It seems to happen when backing up and turning the steering wheel to the right. It almost feels like something moves. I have examined the cart and cant seem to find the culprit. Everything seems to be tight. Anyone have anything similar happen?
Thanks! |

Re: Loose Front End/Steering?
Sorry....
It's a 2001 electric club car. Nothing modified, all original. |

Re: Loose Front End/Steering?
I don't know much about Club Cars and this may sound stupid but have you checked to be sure all of the lug nuts are tight or if the tire is scrubbing against something(body, brake etc..) when turning to the right?

Re: Loose Front End/Steering?
Yes. Checked all the bolts and everything seems to be tight. The ONLY thing I can find, but cant confirm are the rubber bushings in the steering column and suspension. I am looking into them as we speak.

Re: Loose Front End/Steering?
Just to throw this out there i have a 2001 and the rack in my steering had a broken tooth that only gave me trouble when i turned hard right. but it did the same thing forward or backwards. The bushings on the spring and the spindles were trashed also. since installed a lift that had new bushings, fixed the spindles and new to me rack and no problems.Might help

Re: Loose Front End/Steering?
I JUST did my upper bushings and tie rods. Like 20 minutes ago. Mine would wander. Theres a joint at the rack too.

Re: Loose Front End/Steering?
Make sure you check the lower spring bushings as they are rubber and they wear out a lot.
