2006 ezgo txt
I have a chance to buy a 2006 EZGO TXT from a local motorcycle shop. They have several to choose from. They are 48 volt systems. They appear in good shape with good paint and no damage to the exterior or interior. The only thing is they don't know how old the batteries are. They are asking $2195 each for them. Does this sound like a fair price? Should I try to find out how old the batteries are or is the price they are asking still a good deal if I have to buy new batteries in the near future?
Thanks |

Re: 2006 ezgo txt
Stock 06 TXT's are going for $1500-$2500 in St. Louis depending on the condition of the cart and age of the batteries. I'd definetely try to find out how old the batteries are before buying the cart though. If they need replaced it's gonna set you back $600-$800.

Re: 2006 ezgo txt
Were these cart converted to 48V. factory they should be 36V. If they have trojan batteries in them, look at the neg post. you should see a letter and number. The letter is the month - A=jan, B=feb, C=mar, so on- and the number is the year.
So a battery that reads A5 is a january of 2005 battery. They woudl avg $15-2000 here for a golf course golf cart. |

Re: 2006 ezgo txt
I paid $1800 for my 2006 TXT 36v with new batteries. Sounds like a fair price, but you might see if you can talk them down a bit to help you get your first few mods.

Re: 2006 ezgo txt
Being converted is not a bad thing. That means you have a new controller, solenoid and charger.
I would probably offer them around the 1800 mark. |

Re: 2006 ezgo txt
Its not a PDS. That was the first thing I checked. I'm gonna do some more looking. The money I was gonna use to buy it has been delayed.
